Through its combination of the Faradic facial toning technique and the process of Iontophoresis infusion; the Rio 60 Second Face Lift Toner can deliver impressive results in facial rejuvenation, leaving the skin toned and smooth and the features defined. The device is suitable for use by all skin types and can be applied to the forehead lines, crow's feet around the eyes, easing the naso-labial lines and restoring volume to the cheeks. Comments from some of those who have used the Rio Toner will attest to the efficacy of its results; "a must-have if you are over 35", "the results will wipe years from your face" and, the device "surpassed all my expectations!"
With a suggested retail price from £79.99, and widely available, this would seem to be a rejuvenation treatment worth consideration.
The Faradic system within the Rio Toner, uses EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) techniques to cause the facial muscles to contract and relax, stimulating the circulation, oxygenating the skin cells and eliminating the toxins from the tissue. This is combined with Iontophoresis infusion; a transdermal process which effectively delivers active ingredients into the skin, through the application of tiny micro-currents. Patches of positively-charged retinol and collagen are applied to the appropriate treatment area, and by the positioning the negative contact of their device on the skin whilst the positive contact of the device is placed onto the patch, these are delivered deep into the dermal layers, regenerating the skin cells and producing elasticity and volume.
Following the application of a generous amount of conductive gel to each of the spherical contacts; the hand-held device is positioned over the desired treatment area and held in position for 60 seconds, continuing over the rest of the site, in 60 second periods, until the procedure has been completed. The power can be increased until the correct level of intensity is experienced and the muscle contractions are clearly felt. It is recommended that this application is used, daily, for the first 2-3 weeks of treatment, alternating between Programme 1 and Programme 2 on the device.
The Rio 60 Second Face Lift Toner has three programme applications; firming, tap-toning and infusion.
Programme 1, the firming technique, produces regular muscle contractions with a pause between each pulse; contraction for 2 seconds followed by a 3 second pause. The programme has 17 levels of intensity and it is advisable to start with a lower setting and progress upwards until the desired level of muscle contraction is felt.
Programme 2 is the tap-toning setting; this delivers a massaging pulse initially for 5 seconds followed by a 3 second pause and is designed to produce a rapid stimulation of the facial muscles.
Programme 3, the infusion process, has 10 power levels delivering a continual high-frequency sensation. As with programmes 1 and 2 it is recommended that the user begin with a lower power level and work their way up to a more intense application. When using this setting, the operator must remember the polarity of the device; the positive (+) sphere should be placed on the patch of collagen or retinol, and the negative (-) sphere on the skin. The device is moved over the patches for 60 seconds, and then repeated with slow gentle movements for 5-15 minutes.
